Introduction of Sangam Yuwa Pariwar

Sangam Yuwa Pariwar is a non-government, non-profit and non-political organization established in 4 April 2000 formally registered in District Administration Office Jhapa. The main motto of this organization is to contribute to the community development focusing on socio-economic improvement of the community.
Being a youth organization in the initial phase it worked on the awareness campaign. The superstitions prevailed in the community was the main focus and which was addressed with the stage play and street play. The youth were also involved in development programmes like construction and repair of roads, cleaning the nearby Kichkabadh temple and its surrounding area etc. For the sanitation program the organization worked to aware the local people to keep their cattle in safe place and to manage the waste properly.

Sangam Yuwa Pariwar started conducting Blood Donation programmes to contribute for the blood supply. To improve the educational system and aware the children some programs were conducted in the school in the community. The trend of going overseas to earn money hindered the work of this organization due to unavailability of the youth in the community. To provide small soft loan Griha Bachat (Home Saving) Program was started two years ago which has become a success programme in the community. Likewise the formation of farmer's group in the initiation of the organization  has helped the community people to work collectively in farming. The farmer's group is providing seeds of vegetable and also encouraging the farmer to produce more by awarding the best farmer.

The recent collaboration with Greenroots Sustainable Living, Canada has become an another good start to work efficiently in the community. We hope again the youth will start working in the same community in spite of going overseas as a unskilled labour.
